 Nurse Terry’s Notes:
Spring is upon us and with that starts allergy season.  Now is great time to start your student back on daily medication if they suffer from seasonal allergies there are several great over the counter medications including Claritin, Zyrtec, and Allegra.  Remember to use sunscreen and bug spray while outdoors during these wonderful weather days.
Remember students are not allowed to carry over the counter medication in their backpacks at school. All medications need to be turned into the clinic at the beginning of the school day.
Students fever must be below 100 without Tylenol or Motrin for 24 hours prior to returning to school.  Please continue to remind students not to share food or drinks at school, as that is how many contagious illnesses are spread.  Hand washing is still the best prevention from getting sick.
If you have questions about your son or daughter, please call or email me.
Go Patriots!

Attendance Information:
Parents, you may now use Parent Access to send a note to excuse an absence by
the following the steps below:
  1. Log in to your Family  Access (where you check your grades)
  2. Click on “Attendance” under the General Information
  3. Select the “Absence Notifications” tab
  4. Click on “Add Notification”
  5. Then you will use the “pull down” tables to enter times and reason for the absences.
  6. Add any additional comments you wish.
  7. Click on the “Save” button.
In order for an absence to be excused, a student must bring a note from a Parent/Guardian
or original documentation from a medical facility, court, etc. or submit a note using Parent
Access within three (3) days of the student’s return to school.  If your child accumulates
unexcused absences that total three (3) days or parts of days in a four week period or ten
(10) or more days within a six month period, you and/or your child can be prosecuted for
violation of the Compulsory Attendance Law. Thank you for your help in keeping your child’s
attendance up to date.  If you have any questions regarding your child’s attendance, please
contact our Assistant Principal, Cody Plake at (972)429-3256
