03/10-14 – Spring Break
Box Tops for Education: Yes, here at Cooper Junior High we are taking box tops.
We have a box located in the front office if you would like to drop them off or have
your student drop them off. Thank you in advance for all your support. GO PATRIOTS!!!
Don’t forget we take phone books, magazines, catalogs, and your newspapers.
The recycle bin is located in the front parking lot. Please take advantage of it.
The Cooper JHS Sparkler parent meeting for the 2014-2015 school year is March 19th
or March 26th at 6:00 P.M. in the CJHS Library. Parents only have to attend one meeting.
Attendance is mandatory for your daughter to be able to try out for Sparklers.
Attention Parents and Students:
GT Screening Window is March 17-April 4. Parents and teachers may request that a
student be screened for GT. Students may request to be screened as well. Parents
and students may pick up forms in the front office or download them from the district
website. Please contact Valerie Redding if you have any questions.
Nurse Terry’s Notes:
Spring is upon us and with that starts allergy season. Now is great time to start your
student back on daily medication if they suffer from seasonal allergies. Remember to
use sunscreen and bug spray while outdoors during these wonderful weather days.
Remember students are not allowed to carry over the counter medication in their backpacks
at school. All medications need to be turned into the clinic at the beginning of the school day.
Students fever must be below 100 without Tylenol or Motrin for 24 hours prior to
returning to school. Please continue to remind students not to share food or drinks at
school, as that is how many contagious illnesses are spread. Hand washing is still the best
prevention from getting sick.
If you have questions about your son or daughter, please call or email me.
